Student
absences cost money. Student absences also utilize a great
deal of staff time and resources. Whether faced with the task
of contacting 25 parents or 250 parents each evening to let
them know of their students absence, it is time consuming.
Based on feedback from our customers, contacting parents to
alert them of their students absence on a daily basis
is often not done unless time permits. Without a consistent
procedure in place, it makes it difficult for Attendance to
clear an absence or verify a students whereabouts.
Automated
notification enables a consistent message to be delivered
to a students household at a pre-determined time. With
multiple calls being made simultaneously, hundreds of calls
can be made each evening. Instead of requiring several staff
members to place calls for an extended period of time each
evening, a straightforward 3-5 minute data transfer procedure
is all that is required for the system to automatically handle
the notification process. This frees up staff to perform more
productive and rewarding work tasks.
Messages
in English, Spanish, and any other language can be delivered
simultaneously. Detailed reports will provide a time and date
stamp verifying when the call was attempted or received. All
students or one particular students absence history
can be obtained with a simple click on the pull down menu.
